About Instagram Unfollow Tracker

The site runs a small family of tools on one shared engine: an unfollow tracker that names who disappeared between two scans, a follower tracker that builds follower history, a recent-followers view, a recently-followed view for outgoing follows, an instant who-doesn't-follow-back check, and a public follower viewer. Nine pages, one snapshot engine — each page just asks the graph a different question.

Technically, every tool reads the same public information any browser can see on a public profile: the followers list and the following list. We fetch those lists completely, store dated snapshots, and compute differences. Nothing more exotic than that — the value is in doing it completely, quickly, and honestly.

We never ask for your Instagram password, never support private accounts, and never claim real-time or guaranteed-complete data. Every scan displays its measured coverage — how much of the list was actually fetched — and results derived from incomplete scans are clearly marked partial. Unfollow detection only happens between two real scans: we do not fabricate historical unfollows that no snapshot ever recorded.

The site is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. It is an independent utility for public data, funded like every free tool on the web — and explicit about every limitation in plain language on every page.

Before launch, the underlying data pipeline was validated with repeated back-to-back scans of the same public accounts: three consecutive scans produced identical lists (100% consistency), and median list coverage in validation runs was 99.75%. Those numbers are shown as stats on every tool page, because a tracker that hides its own accuracy is asking for trust it did not earn.

Pricing transparency applies to us too: scans cost a small per-request amount paid to the upstream data provider, which is why fair-use rate limits exist per IP and identical repeat queries within a short window are served from a cached snapshot instead of rescanning.
